• Novato Visitor Center - Novato Chamber is Seeking Donations for a Remodel Project

Below is a letter from Coy Smith, The CEO of Novato Chamber

    Hello Chamber Members,

I would like to introduce Team Verissimo from the Novato Chamber's Leadership Novato, Class of 2024. Team Verissimo members are Kelly Duenas (Bank of Marin), Michael Brewer (Novato Sanitary District), Colleen Walraven (Novato Fire Protection District), Joe Rogers (Ultragenyx), Cheryl Timoney (Splunk Social Impact), Eric Miller (North Marin Water District).

Our group project is giving the Novato Visitor Information Center, part of the Novato Chamber of Commerce Building, a well-deserved facelift. As a visitor and first stop to a lot of our Novato guests and potential new residents, we want to showcase all the great businesses in Novato and ways for people to shop, dine, stay and explore.  A Visitor Center provides much needed personal services to folks from all over the world.  The Center assists with referrals to local businesses, itinerary planning and other resources.  This helps keep folks in Novato and supporting local business.

We hope that partnering with local businesses and community members can help reach our goal of completing the remodel project by the end of April 2024. The main components of our project are below:
    •              Painting walls and trim
    •              325 sf of new LVP (or other type) flooring
    •              iPad kiosk
    •              Map/mural/art of Novato areas
    •              Desk/office furniture
    •              Custom built-in display furniture
    •              Indoor plants

    Please see the attached flyer.

We are seeking monetary donations from local businesses, but also looking for donations of labor or services from Novato trade-professionals. As a thank you to all of our donors, The new Visitor Center will also include a plaque display with special recognition for those that contribute to this special project.
Our biggest challenge to date is identifying folks with the skill set to assist with installation of the new LVP (or other type) flooring. We are hoping that by either monetary donations from the business community or donations of labor and time we can accomplish this goal of having the new floor installed. Please see the attached flyer for item pricing.  Your contribution is not tax deductible, it can be categorized as a business expense.

Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to hearing from you.
Any questions please reach out to Kelly Duenas, cell: 415.578.8643

    All the Best,

    Coy Smith
    CEO
    Novato Chamber
