    Don Jeppson, San Rafael Chief Building Official, Receives 2024 North Bay Leadership Council Award
     
    Don Jeppson, Chief Building Official for the City of San Rafael, was selected as a winner of the prestigious North Bay Leadership Council award - 2024 Leaders of the North Bay! Only five awards are given. Don was nominated by the Marin Builders Association.
     
    Don Jeppson stands with an impressive group of regional leaders.  The 2024 Leaders of the North Bay Honorees are:

    • United We Stand, Community Building: Larry Florin, Burbank Housing
    • Paint the Community Green, Environmental Stewardship: Sonoma County Winegrowers
    • The “Light Bulb” Went On, Innovative/Entrepreneurial Spirit: Luana Vaetoe, Becoming Independent
    • Closing the D.E.I. Gap, Leadership within the Latino Community: Dr. Mojgan Behmand, Dominican University
    • From Red Tape to Red Carpet, Leadership in Government: Don Jeppson, City of San Rafael
     
    According to San Rafael City Manager, Cristine Alilovich, “Don embodies the City of San Rafael’s innovative 'Together San Rafael Principles,' demonstrating an unwavering commitment to reimagining the status quo. His customer service first approach has set a benchmark for public service. This recognition is a testament to Don's dedication to excellence in service and the positive contributions he has made to the community.”
     
    Rick Wells, Chief Executive Officer of Marin Builders Association, added, “We’ve been privileged to   work closely with Don over the past few years on Marin Builders Association’s Permit Improvement Program (PIP). Don has shown incredible leadership. He has embraced opportunities for improvement and prioritized customer service for builders and homeowners in San Rafael.”   
     
    North Bay Leadership Council is an employer-led public policy advocacy organization committed to providing leadership in ways to make the North Bay sustainable, prosperous, and innovative. The Council includes 50 leading employers in the region. Their members represent a wide variety of businesses, non-profits, and educational institutions, with a workforce of more than 25,000 people.
     
    The Marin Builders Association serves the construction industry by promoting high ethical and professional standards, providing quality services to our members, and working responsibly with our community for the enhancement of the building industry.
     
    An awards luncheon recognizing these deserving leaders will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Marin County, on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
