Role Summary
CMAC Construction seeks a dedicated Carpenter and Laborer ready to engage in various projects, from detailed finish carpentry to foundational building tasks in residential and commercial settings. Ideal candidates will bring a blend of skill, eagerness to learn, and adaptability to each unique project across the Bay Area, join our team, develop into a long-term employee, and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain reliable transportation and timeliness to various job sites within the SF Bay area.
- Exhibit independence in completing daily activities according to the work schedule while collaborating effectively with the team.
- Adhere to safety guidelines consistently.
- Perform high-quality carpentry work in residential settings, with tasks varying according to project needs, such as window and door installation, trim and molding, framing, siding, and finishing.
- Assist carpenters and supervisors in the framing and finishing process.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work-site to enable the team to work efficiently and effectively.
- Quickly learn from on-site training on basic carpentry techniques and skills.
Apprentice Carpenters:- Proficiency and the ability to learn quickly in a range of carpentry techniques and installation methods, such as window and door trim and molding, framing, and siding.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining consistency and detail orientation.
- 2-4 years of construction and carpentry experience and/or certifications.
- Possession of hand and power tools (provision to use company tools available under specific conditions, ensuring responsible and careful handling).
- 1-4 years of construction or trade experience, with carpentry experience preferred.
- Familiarity and experience with residential carpentry and structural techniques.
- Familiarity with residential construction timelines, schedules, and workflows.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- The starting salary range for Carpenters, it is $35 - $45 per hour, depending on the role, experience, and skills demonstrated during an initial evaluation period to assess skills and fit.
- Wage increases will be assessed based on progressive skill mastery, acquired certifications, and tenure with the company.

- The primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM—4:00 PM, with occasional weekends based on project deadlines.

- Potential travel compensation is evaluated for long-term employees on a case-by-case basis.
