    Event Description:

Can cows in the North Bay be climate trend-setters?

Last year, MEF reported on the experimental use of red seaweed in cattle feed as a way to reduce dairy methane gas emissions, a significant contributor to global warming. Just this week, a company in Hawaii announced the use of their red seaweed product by two powerhouse North Bay dairies: Straus Creamery and Clover Sonoma.

North Bay dairies have been on the cusp of innovation before, becoming among some of the first to produce organic milk. But adoption of this new feed supplement has the potential to set a global trend, addressing an urgent global problem.

Come join MEF's next Briefing on Thursday, May 26 at 9:00 a.m. Mike Blakeley and Dr. Robert Eyler will continue to look at the current 2022 data and prospects. We look forward to you joining us.
