Electric Heat Pump Contractor Training for Space and Water Heating
MCE recently launched it's Low Income Families and Tenants program, an energy efficiency program designed for low-income communities residing in MCE's service territory. LIFT's unique offering is fuel switching from gas and propane appliances to electric heat pumps. To make this offering robust and seamless to property owners and tenants of multifamily properties, MCE is working with contractors to ensure a successful installation of heat pumps.
MCE in association with Sonoma Clean Power is organizing a heat pump contractor training on March 13th between 9 AM and 5 PM in Santa Rosa. While the workshop will focus on installation best practices, refrigerant management, and indoor air quality issues, participating contractors will also have the opportunity to discuss certification, insurance, and permitting requirements.
MCE is seeking to assemble a list of qualified contractors to support LIFT pilot program participants in their heat pump installations. MCE encourages any firm or individual contractor interested in being on the list to attend this workshop.
