So what is the difference between a residential dwelling unit, accessible unit, mobility unit, communication unit, adaptable unit, visitable unit and a dwelling unit? This seminar will answer this question and others on the scoping of housing units under the requirements of the FHA, UFAS, ADA, 11B and 11A for multifamily housing are sometimes subtle but otherwise significant. This seminar will cover public and private multifamily housing and compare and contrast both the federal and state regulations, as well as CBC subsection 11A and 11B. There will be focused discussion on accessible kitchens, baths, and unit plan configurations with respect to interior access and closets and storage spaces.
