    NBCC – Marin Class Program Coordinator

    This opportunity is available immediately.
    We are looking for a professional to provide services to manage and coordinate a construction training program for High School seniors and young adults in Marin County.

    • Serve as the lead coordinator to advise other coordinators as needed during all classes and meetings
    • Develop plans and strategies for implementing Construction Corps elements and activities
    • Participate in and provide guidance to setup and execute the NBCC curriculum
    • Plan and coordinate elements of the Corps and Boot Camp including aligning curriculum with appropriate trade standards and skills, purchasing and managing approved instructional materials, coordinating field trips, guest speakers, and job readiness activities
    • Recruit, advise and assist industry professional volunteers as presenters and trainers for demonstrations, projects, certifications and other work-based learning activities
    • Actively participate in the planning and execution of the program as a member of the NBCC Board of Advisors and the NBCC Marin Advisory Committee
    • Participate in and provide support to the NBCC Marin Advisory Committee and the Marin Builders Association by attending meetings, initiating relevant agenda items; sharing ideas and opinions as appropriate
    • Advocate, promote and ensure participation in the Construction Corps with industry partners, educators, and the funders community
    • Monitor and evaluate career demonstration, curriculum, and certifications
    • Consult regularly with NBCC Marin Advisory Committee, Marin County Office of Education and Marin Builders Association regarding implementation of program
    • Establish and maintain regular and clear communication, cooperative participation, and compliance with students
    • Coordinate with NBCC Marin Advisory Committee and Marin Builders Association to interpret and monitor laws, rules, and regulations affecting programs and services provided; inform necessary parties regarding implications and ramifications of actions and decisions; interpret educational program requirements and state and federal guidelines for district administrators and others as required
    • Coordinate requirements and fees with Terra Linda High School and/or MCOE for site use
    • Other services as mutually agreed to support and deliver objectives of the North Bay Construction Corps 
    Schedule of classes for Spring Semester of North Bay Construction Corps Marin Class and End of Class:
    Weekday Evenings: Up to twenty-two (22) Tuesday evenings for up to three hours each of instructional time, commencing in January and ending in May (Actual class schedule and dates to be determined and mutually agreed upon with coordinator).
    Saturdays: Up to six (6) Saturday classes for up to 8 hours each of instructional time. (Actual class schedule and dates to be determined and mutually agreed
    Compensation. Part-time, Hourly employee of Marin Builders Association. Rate to be determined based on qualifications and experience. Budgeted compensation for role is $10,000.
    Independent operator. Strong multi-tasking and collaboration skills. Communication, organizational skills and time management. Ability to establish multiple priorities to maximize results. Able to work independently to achieve benchmarks throughout the duration of the program.
