Marin Builders Association and Marin Economic Forum to Evaluate the Permit Customer Experience for County of Marin

Take the Survey - San Rafael, CA - The Marin Builders Association is announcing a new partnership with the County of Marin and the Marin Economic Forum. The collaboration is designed to help improve the permit process for customers and decrease the amount of non-permitted construction in unincorporated Marin. As part of this collaboration, the Marin Builders Association, the County of Marin and the Marin Economic Forum will explore and measure the customer experience of the County of Marin’s building permitting process.

“The County of Marin is excited to partner with the Marin Builders Association and the Marin Economic Forum to help us hear from our permit customers and identify strategies to improve the customer experience.” said Bill Kelley, the County’s Chief Building Official.

The Customer Experience Measurement and Improvement Program (CEMIP) will begin with data driven measurement, review, and qualitative analysis of the customer experience. The end-product will be a report presented to the County that will include findings from customer surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews. The report will include best practices from different communities across the state, as well as recommendations on how to improve overall service.

“The County of Marin has always been a strong partner of the Marin Builders Association and we are pleased to continue this partnership with the CEMIP. It is encouraging to see additional jurisdictions joining the program." added Rick Wells, Marin Builders Association CEO.

The Marin Builders Association serves the construction industry by promoting high ethical and professional standards and working responsibly with the community for the enhancement of the building industry. The Marin Builders Association represents more than 560 local construction firms and affiliated businesses.
