• BHM Construction, Inc. Seeking Sub Bids for San Marin High School New Stem Building and Performing Arts Building

    General Contractor BHM Construction, Inc. invites certified and qualified contractors to submit sub bids for the San Marin High School New Stem Building and Performing Arts Building located in San Marin, CA.  This is a lease-leaseback project and is valued at $16,000,000 to 18,000,000.  To be considered a responsive bidder, a project questionnaire for best value scoring must be submitted no later than the bid date/time. 

    Bids will be awarded on a best-value basis per Education Code section 17406 et. seq.   The best value questionnaire consists of four parts.  Part I is scored on a pass / fail basis.  The maximum score for Part II is 242 points.  The maximum score for Part III is 45 points.  Part IV is the price proposal portion of the questionnaire, with the lowest price proposal scored at 250 points, and the subsequent lowest prices scored in descending 15 point increments (i.e., second lowest price is 235 points, third lowest price is 220 points, and so on).  The best value questionnaire can be obtained via the same online source as the plans, specifications, and addenda. 

    All first tier mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors must be prequalified under section 20111.6 of the Public Contract Code.  First tier mechanical, plumbing, and electrical subcontractor bidders shall submit responses to Part IV of the questionnaire under separate cover, apart from the rest of the questionnaire.  First tier mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractor bidders must also submit a financial statement verified under oath, which will not be made part of the public record.  Inquiries on information to provide in the verified financial statement can be made to BHM Construction, Inc.”

    New Performing Arts Building – Construction of Stem Building including site work.  Trades involved: earthwork, underground utilities, planting/irrigation, concrete, chain link fencing, site furnishings, concrete reinforcing,  structural steel, metal deck, metal fabrication, plastic paneling, waterproofing, roofing, metal roofing, siding, doors, frames, hardware, aluminum storefront/windows, framing, gypsum board, tiling, acoustical systems, flooring, painting, division 10 specialties, miscellaneous division 11 equipment, folding partitions, production lighting/rigging, theater seating, wheel chair lifts, shades, sprinkler system, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical.
