    Job Description

    Experienced with case work, doors, baseboards, molding, stairs, windows, cabinets and drywall finishing a plus.
    The successful candidate will show the focus and detail needed for finishing. They will also maintain a valid driver’s license, as driving is an essential function of the position. The ability to multi-task and deliver quality craftsmanship, on multiple rapid schedule projects, while maintaining quality and customer service is paramount.

    Responsibilities:
    • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of products, ranging from cabinets to insulation to tile to drywall to doors and windows.
    • Perform work in accordance with safety best practices
    • Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition
    • Identify needed repairs on jobsites
    • Document repairs and maintain thorough records
    • Cut, shape, and alter materials as needed
    • Install doors, cabinets, and windows
    • Measure and mark materials for alterations

    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
    • Minimum of 3 years of general carpentry experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
    • Must possess a valid CA driver's license
    • Forklift certification preferred
    • Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills
    • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics
    • Comfortable using ladders and scaffolding
    • Demonstrated ability to operate hand, air, and power tools
    • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
    • Must have own tools
    • Reliable transportation

    Necessary skills for the job:
    • Knowledge of basic construction skills.
    • Ability to install nails and other fasteners by hand or power driven tools.
    • Operation and proper application of basic hand and power tools.
    • Basic knowledge of how to build plumb, level and square.
    • Knowledge of common building materials and their applications.
    • Ability to climb, crawl and lift heavy materials common to building projects.
    • Work safely
    • Assist with layout of building site.
    • Work with crew under direction of supervisors to build
    • Frame floors, walls and roofs for new construction, additions or remodeling.
    • Install flashing and building wrap.
    • Install windows and exterior doors.
    • Siding and exterior trim.
    • Cabinet installation
    • Installation of baseboard, windows and doors, casing, crown molding and other interior trim details.
